There is some good stuff here such as Ted Nugent and Slash, but with only around 40 songs, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith does feel like more of an expansion than a full game. The supporting acts lineup is a tad on the disappointing side if I am being honest with you. For example, how do you make this game and not have Dude Looks Like A Lady as one of the songs? It has a high-tempo beat and would have been perfect for this game. As a massive Aerosmith fan, I loved this, but there are some glaring omissions here. Walk This Wayħ0 percent of the soundtrack is Aerosmith songs and that is to be expected.
I do feel that they nailed the look of the band very well and the way the venues are based on places that they actually played is really cool. I do not have a problem with that, but it does make the game seem more like an expansion than a fully-fledged new game. Legends Of RockĪs far as the presentation of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith goes, it is clearly made using the same graphical tools as the previously released Guitar Hero III. Of course, getting enjoyment out of this does require you to be a fan of Aerosmith. It does only showcase the positive aspects of their career, but I am fine with that. The game has you playing as Joe Perry which is great and it has live-action video recordings of the band telling you bits about their history as you go. Starting from them playing at a high school all the way up to them becoming stadium rock gods, as a fan of the band this was awesome. This is all about Aerosmith and it has you playing through various stages of their career. The coolest thing that Guitar Hero: Aerosmith has going on is the career mode. This was the first time in the franchise that a whole game was dedicated to one band and if you ask me they could not have picked a better band.

Hanging up on the wall in my game room is the awesome Guitar Hero: Aerosmith exclusive Aerosmith guitar! I love Aerosmith and when I heard that they were going to be the focus of their own game in the series I could not have been any more excited.
